- 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work is inappropriate for:
- Couples in severe relationship distress
- Significant emotional or physical abuse
- Mental health problems
- Relationships where one or both partners are addicted to drugs, alcohol, or other compulsive behavior.
- 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work is inappropriate for:
- Will we have to interact with other participants?
- The format of the workshop is educational with exercises that you’ll complete during the workshop with your spouse and at home on your own time. There will be some dialogue and discussion, but you will not be forced to share if you are not comfortable.
- Will we still need couples counseling after this workshop?
- Many couples make a great deal of progress in their marriage after completing this workshop. However, if more intensive or one on one counseling is needed during or following this program, Dr. Hansen is available for couples and individual counseling and can also provide appropriate referrals.
